I would first off like to thank all of the teams that have played in the City of Bedford Softball leagues in the past. We had a strong program for many years. But, I regret to inform you that starting next spring, we will no longer be offering softball leagues in the city of Bedford.

Due to the cutbacks in the city, we are unable to fund enough employees to run the league, and maintain the fields every week. Hopefully, in the next few years, we will be able to come back strong and have enough room in the budget to get our recreation deparment back on track.

The Euclid Recreation Department is now accepting applications for its Men's Open and Men's Sic Foot & Under Class B Basketball Leagues and the newly formed Women's Basketball League that are slated to open in November.

The City of Mayfield Village is looking for another team for its Fall Tuesday/Thursday Competitive Men's League and its Fall Sunday 35+ Men's League.

Looking for players for 35+ Mens League

I am looking for 2 or 3 solid players to join our team for the Mayfield Village 35+ Men's league. The League starts Sept 13th., games are played on Sunday mornings, and are double headers. The league has no exemptions for players under 35. So you must be 35 years old to play. The league fields 10 players and each team can have up to 2 Designated Hitters. I have 9 players who are committed and about 5 or 6 subs on the roster now. I am looking for 2 or 3 players that can committ to the 5-6 week schedule so that we don't have 15-16 guys showing up which means splitting playing time. The initial cost will be approx. $35.00. The Umpire fee per game is $12.00. So it will be another $1.00 per player per game. We already have a sponsor for Shirts. If you want to play just contact me.

100 Innings Charity Softball game 7/25/09

Is anyone interested in playing in a 100 inning softball game for charity this Saturday (July 25).

It starts at 7 am until 11 pm. We have a break at lunch and dinner which is provided.

We have 8 teams that are already set up but some of the teams could use a player or two.
